As a customer of Currencies Direct, Inc., a local currency account is an account issued to you in order to receive local USD funds from people or businesses in the United States using US domestic payment systems. If you have a joint account with Currencies Direct, the account is issued in the name of the joint owners. 

When a local currency account is issued to you, you will receive all the required bank details, which can be provided to people or entities in the US who need to make a USD payment to you. 

The most common payment mechanisms to make payments to a US currency account are wire and ACH (Automated Clearing House).
