What is a banking payment reference number?

For some transfers, we send out your money through local banking partners. You can give your ‘banking partner reference number’ to your recipient so they can check where the transfer is once it’s shown as ‘completed’ by Currencies Direct.

It can be called different things in different countries.
For example, in India, banks sometimes call it a UTR (Unique Transaction Reference) number, or a transaction reference number.
